Havre de Grace homes split into three personalities. The historic core near Concord Point and the promenade has older homes with original hardwood, plaster walls, and the kind of textured wool area rugs you'd inherit from grandparents. Those are careful steam cleaning jobs. The Bulle Rock community is mostly newer construction with high end carpet and a lot of LVP/LVT in the kitchens and basements that needs the right cleaner to avoid stripping the wear layer. And waterfront homes near the marina deal with persistent salt air humidity. Carpets stay damper longer, fibers attract more particulate, and odor returns faster than in inland Harford homes. We adjust our process accordingly.
We carry the right cleaner for LVP. A lot of carpet companies use universal floor solutions that shouldn't be used on luxury vinyl at all. For the historic home segment we use cool water and pH neutral cleaners on wool and Oriental rugs (we never high heat extract a wool rug). And for waterfront homes we'll often recommend a more aggressive drying step to stay ahead of the humidity.
Havre de Grace waterfront and Bulle Rock area homes often combine formal rugs, hardwood, and tile in ways that need different methods room by room, humidity near the Susquehanna can extend dry times in lower levels.
