Perry Hall splits cleanly between the older 1970s, 1990s neighborhoods (Indian Rock, Sweetheart Hill, the Joppa Road facing developments) and the newer Honeygo corridor (1990s, 2010s townhomes and single family). The older neighborhoods have a higher rate of carpet that has been replaced once and is now five plus years into its second life, which is the sweet spot for professional cleaning. Honeygo townhomes tend to have builder grade carpet on the stairs that wears out faster than the rest of the house, and tile floors in the entryway that have not been professionally cleaned since installation. White Marsh edge homes see more tracked in dirt because of the walkability to the mall and shopping district.
